In the South Dakota bishops’ joint statement on COVID-19 vaccines dated December 30, 2020 concerning vaccines with remote connection to an abortion-connected cell line, the bishops wrote, “we must remember abortion is an unspeakable crime against the moral law. We must not be silent about this serious evil. It is therefore appropriate to make our respect for life and objection to such vaccines known, which might be done in a variety of ways (e.g., writing letters, in media, through associations, etc.).”  In order to provide a concrete suggestion for how Catholics might make their objections known, below are several template letters developed by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops that may be used to voice your conscience to the various vaccine manufacturers.
